A sub-₹1 lakh international holiday is possible, but the right destination depends on whether that budget includes flights, how early you book and what kind of stay feels comfortable. The honest method is to price the whole journey—not only the hotel banner.

The strongest value routes

Thailand, Vietnam, Bali, Dubai, Singapore and Malaysia are the most practical starting points from Delhi NCR. Thailand and Vietnam stretch the budget furthest, Bali rewards couples who value villas and experiences, while Dubai and Singapore exchange lower day-to-day costs for exceptionally simple logistics.

Travel outside school holidays, compare mid-week flights and choose one or two bases instead of racing through four cities. Fewer transfer days usually create both a better trip and a better total.

What the number must include

Ask for one sheet showing flights, baggage, hotel taxes, meals, airport transfers, visas, sightseeing tickets, insurance and TCS where applicable. If an item is not included, it should be visible before you compare quotes.

Keep a separate personal-spend allowance for food, shopping and optional activities. A holiday feels much calmer when the budget has breathing room rather than relying on every estimate being perfect.

Package or plan it yourself?

Independent planning can work for a simple city break. A connected package earns its value when visas, island transfers, several hotels or language barriers enter the route. The best choice is the one that makes the total clear and gives you a human to call if the pieces stop connecting.
